Florida HOBY

Serena Shah is from Fleming Island, FL, represented St. Johns Country Day School at North Florida HOBY in 2014, and she has volunteered ever since. Serena was also a North Florida HOBY representative at the 2015 Advanced Leadership Academy in Fairfax, Virginia at George Mason University, and she served on the HOBY International Staff for the 2016 World Leadership Congress at Loyola University in Chicago, IL. Her favorite part about volunteering with HOBY is not only that she gets to inspire the transformation of high school students into leaders and agents of positive, social change in just three days, but also that she gets to work with some of the most dedicated, talented people on staff year after year. She loves that she gets to form life-long friendships and memories with students and staff members from all over North Florida every year.

She is currently attending college at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL, is double-majoring in Microbiology & Immunology and International Studies, and is minoring in Chemistry on the Pre-Med track. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her friends, shop, read, dance, and bike.
